In the world of photography, the book is a work designed to welcome and present images in a sequence.
It was therefore natural to take the next step and decide to experiment with new narrative possibilities, on the wall, inviting the authors to dialogue with us and the place.
The exhibition activity of Micamera began in 2006 with the transfer to the new and current location, completing the cultural program of the space. The selection is oriented to American and Italian photography, as well as the library, although not exclusively.
The exhibitions are almost always absolute premieres and produced by the space in close collaboration with the artists; each exhibition is accompanied by a two-day workshop and a selection of books.
The exhibition activity is closely linked to the curatorial activity, which in turn has developed well beyond the walls of the Milanese space. We collaborate with private and public spaces, and we offer advice and accompaniment for the realization of exhibition events and the publication of books.
