WORKSHOP WITH MARK STEINMETZ

Inspiration/Execution is a two-day workshop in a small group with Mark Steinmetz and is open to anyone and all kinds of work. It aims at helping participants understanding better the meaning and the purpose of their work and finding ways to bring clarity to their direction and intent.

Mark Steinmetz’s work is in the collections of the Museum of Modern Art, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Art Institute of Chicago, the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, and many others. He is a Guggenheim Fellow and has taught photography at Yale University, Harvard University, Sarah Lawrence College and elsewhere. Steinmetz has over twenty books of his photographs, including South Central, South East, Greater Atlanta, Paris in my Time, Summertime, Angel City West, and The Players, which were all published by the Nazraeli Press. His work on the Atlanta Airport, Terminus, was shown in 2018 at the High Museum in Atlanta and will be exhibited at Micamera from November 5 (opening Friday, November 4). The book – ATL – will soon be released by Nazraeli Press.
