I think good photographic projects work like good stories. They come from a place that feels real, that feels social, that feels intimate.”

– Lucas Foglia

Lucas Foglia (1983) grew up on a small family farm in New York and currently lives in San Francisco. His photographs examine the relationship between the human belief systems and the natural world.

He has published three monographs with Nazraeli Press: A Natural Order (2012), Frontcountry (2014) and  Human Nature (2017). Foglia exhibits internationally, and his prints are in notable collections including Art Collection Deutsche Börse,  International Center of Photography, San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, and Victoria and Albert Museum.
