Italian edition of the famous “Ballade pour violoncelle et chambre noire”, published by Herscher in 1981, “Ballata per violoncello e camera obscura” pays tribute to the friendship between Robert Doisneau and Maurice Baquet, cellist, skier and actor. “When our paths crossed, I found my master of happiness,” says the photographer.
The black and white photographs, accompanied by ironic captions in Italian, write a musical score that tells the adventures of an acrobat musician, dragged by his cello in the most bizarre situations.
