In Morten Andersen’s photographs, real life meets noir movies and fiction slowly becomes more tangible than it should.

The title of this work echoes that locution used in film language, when shooting scenes during the day that are supposed to look nocturnal on film, by means of special filters. “days for night”, it is.
The photographs we are confronted with are mostly in black and white, often appearing very raw, and noisy. People are portrayed in various moments: of joy, fear or despair, in empty streets.
The work Morten Andersen does is to explore the human condition from an existentialist point of view.

Limited edition of 15 copies in a box set accompanied by an original print, measuring 24 x 18 cm, numbered and signed by the artist – ours is n.6
