“Il giro del mondo in 80 giorni” is the title of an exhibition with works by Luigi Ghirri, Roberto Salbitani and Fulvio Ventura at the Romolo Valli Theatre in Reggio Emilia.

Ghirri exhibited images from ‘Atlante’, a key project in the history of Italian photography, one of the first attempts to rethink landscape photography. Salbitani participates with ‘Viaggio’, a reflection on displacement and the beauty behind the most anonymous situations. Finally, Ventura presents some images from his ‘Transit’ project, a series of photographs taken from moving vehicles – mainly trains – in 1977 and 1980 on the Milan-Turin and Turin-Paris routes.

The catalogue for this exhibition consists of three fold-out plates, one for each exhibited author, containing – in addition to the images – the authors’ words and a short essay by Ennery Taramelli.
