“On the way to the village where I work, every now and then I make a small detour to reach the bank of the Tanaro river in a place called Masio. I take some photos, quickly, framing freely in the display of the compact camera. What is there to see? Trees, the colours of the sky and the water, a drawing of branches always different. What is there to do? Shooting a few pictures, but it is mostly about breathing fresh air. I feel the need for both, like lighting a cigarette after coffee before entering the office.”
