The book stems from the desire to open up professional photography to the reach of many, no longer by offering long textual manuals full of technicalities, data, formulas and tables, but rather through comics. Due to the immediacy of the image, it is thought to be the most suitable vehicle for untangling the knots that hinder amateur photographers and often lead them to give up photography early on. The subjects are made up of gestures, positions and explanations, which are expressed in an essential manner through the dialogue parts between the characters. The comics are alternated with some images by professional photographers. The book was designed by Michel Decron, with drawings by Pierre Dupuis and an introduction by Mario De Biasi.
