Between the late 1960s and early 1970s, Dublin-based John Hinde Studio produced a series of postcards to sell in Butlin’s holiday camps throughout the British Isles. Throughout the 1970s, over a million British people have gone on holiday to Butlin’s every year.
Shot with large format cameras and lit up like a film set, the production of these photographs was an extraordinary feat. These images have helped John Hinde become one of the world’s most successful postcard publishers.
With an introduction by Martin Parr.
