Robert Stivers takes us into his personal world with a large-format book, which thus takes the form of a private exhibition of decadent classicism. Characteristic subjects such as natural elements, naked bodies and domestic objects are the key to the uncanny place that is the world for Stivers. The author uses photography to represent the alternative reality in which he feels immersed, in which certainties and points of reference decay, exploiting the power of the medium to transform the closest elements into evanescent hints. The book ends with a poem by John Wood.
