‘Fammi vedere!’ is the Italian version of the famous and controversial ‘Zeig Mal!’ (Show me!), a work published in 1974 by Jugenddienst-Verlag with photographs by American Will McBride, who collaborated with psychologist Helga Fleischhauer-Hardt. The photo essay on ‘sex education’ for parents and children consists of texts, illustrations and photographs depicting the nudity of children and young adults, describing the sexual behaviour that accompanies the maturation of the orgasm from birth to adulthood. Despite fierce public criticism, the book won numerous awards and made photographer McBride’s position immovable.
The book is aimed at those who have the ability to question their own preconceptions about the sexual sphere, so that they can educate their children in a more conscious manner.

“This is a book for children and parents (…) and is intended to show parents that a natural sexuality only develops if children, from birth, grow up in a family and environment that gives them love, and not sexual repression” – McBride
